Last week, we had the pleasure of delivering a new Beneteau First 27 SE to a customer who decided to embark on a new adventure and become a first-time sailboat owner.

Encouraged by a friend to explore the beauty of sailing, our customer was looking for a beginner-friendly vessel. With this in mind, our managing director, Ricardo Martins, recommended our partner brand Beneteau for its versatility, quality, performance, and wide range of models.

After reviewing the models, the customer decided to purchase the flagship of the First SE range, the Beneteau First 27 SE. This range, designed for regatta enthusiasts, stands out for its liveliness, and although speeds of 10 to 15 knots are achievable, the hull width and deep keel provide excellent stability.

The interior is incredibly spacious and functional for an 8m vessel, comfortably accommodating six adults, with a separate bow cabin and saloon with retractable table separated by magnetic doors.

Being an incredibly lightweight vessel and having the ability to fully retract the keel, it can be towed by a passenger vehicle. Additionally, since the keel automatically retracts upon impact, the First 27 SE can be sailed directly to a beach to disembark.

The delivery of the vessel was arranged at the Sopromar nautical center in Lagos, which took care of the logistics and ensured that the vessel was ready for delivery. As the customer was a beginner sailor, Soproyachts provided a skipper to give a tour of the vessel and help him get acquainted.
