Fountaine Pajot, one of the world’s leading catamaran manufacturers, has once again raised the bar with the unveiling of their upcoming new model, the NEW 41 Sailing Catamaran, at the recent Cannes Yachting Festival. This 12-meter catamaran, that will replace the Isla 40, showcases the brand's signature blend of elegance, performance, and unparalleled habitability, making it a highly anticipated addition to their fleet.
The NEW 41 is designed for those who desire long-range cruising with ease, offering impressive autonomy whether powered by a traditional internal combustion engine or an advanced all-electric drivetrain. Equipped with up to 3,000 watts of solar power, lithium batteries, and options for wind and hydro generators, the electric version represents the latest in sustainable marine technology, continuing Fountaine Pajot’s pioneering efforts in eco-friendly sailing.
In terms of performance, the NEW 41 delivers beyond expectations. With an increased draft of 5 feet and deep sacrificial keels, the boat's upwind capabilities have been significantly enhanced. These design tweaks, along with an optimised hull shape and expanded sail plan, position the NEW 41 as a true performance cruiser, capable of tackling extended passages while still being agile and easy to handle in coastal waters.
The onboard experience is nothing short of luxurious. The spacious deck features a popular double helm station, sun loungers, and an ingenious sundeck integrated into the port transom for relaxation. Inside, the saloon’s open-plan layout seamlessly connects with the cockpit, thanks to large windows and a serving hatch, ensuring that onboard living is both stylish and functional. The NEW 41 is available in two versions: the "Maestro," offering an owner’s suite, and the "Quatuor," which can accommodate up to four cabins and bathrooms, making it perfect for families or chartering.
With thoughtful ergonomics, ample natural light, and generous living spaces, this model echoes design elements from its larger siblings like the Aura 51 and Thira 80. Fountaine Pajot has ensured that every inch of the NEW 41 has been optimised for comfort, whether at sea or at anchor.
The world is now eagerly awaiting the official premiere date of the NEW 41, which promises to be a milestone in the world of sailing catamarans. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new model from Fountaine Pajot.
