Williams Jet Tenders on the path to sustainability

In a world increasingly concerned about environmental responsibility, Williams Jet Tenders, one of Soproyachts' esteemed partner brands, is charting a course toward sustainability.

Renowned for their exceptional tender designs, Williams Jet Tenders, has received a grant of £13,000 from UK EDGE. The grant will fund a program aimed at testing more sustainable composite materials for use in their tenders.

The company has joined forces with the National Composites Centre (NCC) in Bristol to undertake this venture, which commenced this month and is scheduled to conclude in January 2024.

By identifying the composites that have the biggest environmental impact, their aim will be to reduce the embedded carbon within marine tender composites and test the use of natural fibre composites in boat building.

Sarah Moore, the Sustainability Specialist at Williams Jet Tenders, expressed her enthusiasm and gratitude for the grant, stating, "We are thrilled to have received this grant and are excited about the work and results that can be achieved as part of this project, working alongside the experienced team at the NCC. This is an incredible milestone in our sustainability journey which has been led by months of research and analysis."

The collaboration between Williams Jet Tenders and the National Composites Centre, made possible by the UK EDGE grant, is a significant step toward a more sustainable future in the tender industry.

We eagerly await the outcomes of their sustainability program and commend them for their substantial contribution to a more eco-conscious marine industry.
