This past weekend, Lagos hosted the 2023 GC32 Lagos Cup, a highly-anticipated four-day racing event that drew in spectators from all over the world.

The bay of Lagos proved to be the perfect setting for this thrilling competition, which featured some of the most skilled sailors from across the globe. The competition concluded on Sunday, June 25th, with an impressive victory for Team Rockwool Racing, skippered by the talented Nicolai Sehested. The team had an amazing start, winning all 5 races on the first day of the competition. Their success continued throughout the event, with the Danish SailGP crew winning an incredible 10 out of the 15 races that were sailed.

But the excitement isn’t over yet. Lagos is set to host the 2023 GC32 World Championship from July 10th to 14th. This exciting event promises to be even more competitive, with sailors competing for the title of world champion. Lagos is the perfect location for this event, with its beautiful bay and ideal sailing conditions. We can’t wait to see who will come out on top in this exciting competition.
