On 20th January 2025, our partner brand, Fountaine Pajot unveiled its latest model in the sailing catamaran range—the New 44. This highly anticipated addition builds on the success of the New 41, launched in September, and represents another leap forward in innovation, comfort, and sustainable cruising.

Set to replace the Astrea 42 and Elba 45, the New 44 was designed to provide an elevated sailing experience, responding to the growing demand for eco-friendly, versatile, and luxurious catamarans.

Design Excellence:

The New 44 combines elegance and functionality. Its sleek profile features a wider coachroof, elongated chine, and discreet design elements that ensure a balance of aesthetics and performance. Enhanced portholes, a generous cockpit, and innovative deck layout create a seamless blend of form and function.

Spacious Living:

The enlarged nacelle maximizes interior volume, with features like a fully opening window, central island, and front-facing serving hatch, blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living. With options for three or four cabins, the New 44 accommodates diverse lifestyles, including a customisable forward cabin in the Maestro version for added flexibility.

Eco-Friendly Sailing:

A standout feature of the New 44 is its sustainability-focused design. The catamaran is available with Fountaine Pajot’s ODSea+ electric drivetrain and can be equipped with up to 2,400 Wc of solar panels, integrated into the deckhouse, bimini, and trampolines. This setup enables quiet, emission-free cruising while extending autonomy at sea.

Performance and Control:

Offshore, the New 44 offers exceptional performance and safety. The mid-height helm station ensures excellent visibility and direct communication with the crew. The strategic placement of the sail maneuvering station provides precise control for effortless navigation.

Relaxation and Lifestyle:

Fountaine Pajot priorities comfort, with spacious relaxation areas including a 9.2 m² forward solarium, a 10.7 m² lounge deck on the flybridge, and an additional daybed in the cockpit. These features make the New 44 perfect for leisurely moments, whether at anchor or underway.
