Beneteau and Fountaine Pajot nominated for Cruising World's 2024 Boat of the Year Competition

Cruising World magazine has announced the nominees for the 2024 Boat of the Year awards, and we are thrilled to announce that two of Soproyacht’s partner brands have made the list: Beneteau and Fountaine Pajot.

The Boat of the Year competition, known for its rigorous testing and evaluation process, recognizes the best new production cruising boats and multihulls for coastal and offshore sailing.

Beneteau’s nominated model is the Oceanis 37.1, the flagship of the seventh Oceanis Cruiser generation. The flared-hull design enhances stability and power without sacrificing volume. Inside, the Oceanis 37.1 offers a spacious salon and a forward stateroom with large portholes. Available in cruising and performance versions, this sailboat also showcases an eco-conscious approach with electric propulsion and Iroko wood decks.

The Aura 51, Fountaine Pajot’s nominee, offers an open living arrangement that seamlessly connects the salon, galley, and cockpit. Its flybridge is equipped with flush-deck solar panels, providing sustainable cruising with 2,000 watts of power. Fountaine Pajot is renowned for its craftsmanship and innovative designs, and the Aura 51 is a testament to their commitment to excellence.

These two nominees exemplify the high standards and innovation present in the Boat of the Year competition. As Cruising World's independent judging panel evaluates each vessel, the nominees' performance, design, and eco-conscious features will be thoroughly examined. The winners of the 2024 Boat of the Year awards will be announced in the January issue of Cruising World magazine.
